Established by Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada in 1920, the Leach Pottery is the recognised home of studio pottery where hundreds of artist potters from across the world worked and trained over the years. Visit the pottery now with its new production studios, gallery, shop, museum and the historic pottery workshop open to the public.

Penlee House Gallery & Museum is an elegant gallery set within a Victorian house and park. Changing exhibitions mainly feature the art of the area from 1880 to 1940, usually including the famous ‘Newlyn School’ artists such as Stanhope and Elizabeth Forbes, Walter Langley, Harold Harvey and ‘Lamorna’ Birch. The museum collections cover the archaeology and social history of the Penwith district. Penlee House also offers an excellent café and shop.

St Ives Society Of Artists

St Ives has been a melting pot of inspiration for artists for over 100 years. The draw of the breathtaking scenery, and the rich colours that reflect off the crystal clear seas makes St Ives the perfect place for artists to express their creative talents. The St Ives Society of Artists was formed by marine artist George Fagan Bradshaw in 1927. The Society’s exhibition programmes feature work chosen by guest curators, and invited exhibitions that are a diverse mix of contemporary visual art.
